Friendly game at Cambridge
The pre-season friendly against Cambridge attracted many familiar faces from The Haverhill Branch, including the Junior Section of The Branch, seen here supporting The Blues.
Ipswich had a complete stand at one end, and made themselves heard through out the game.
Ipswich not only won 3 – 2, but they had the pleasure of seeing two new members of their squad scoring (Ainsley Maitland-Niler and Brett Pitman) , as well as an old favourite returning from injury and getting on the score sheet with the winning goal.(David McGoldrick)
Something not often seen in this sort of game was that shortly after the second half had started, Ipswich substituted nearly all their team, so that all the players had a chance to impress. Good to go and watch.
