This took place at our meal as a special event – for the first time this was made to two families, The Browns, and Nick and Val. In respect of The Browns, they are nearly always present for  our events, and their control of the car park at the Easter Egg Hunt is very special.  Sometimes they are helped by as many as five family members, and The Gold Easter Egg is always sponsored by Peter (the  Painter) Brown.

In respect of Nick and Val – always helpful, always helping with raffle prizes, but their speciality every year is organising the raffle at The Easter Egg Hunt, with Easter Eggs decorated by Val. It is also appreciated that Nick turns up even when he is not well. He comes in his camper van to our events to help, but is also prepared, should he not be too well, to sleep in his van while Val does the work.

Both sets were presented with plaques to keep, flowers (obediently collected from behind the bar by Zoe) , and the shield – shared by both families for six months each.
