Once again The Haverhill Branch took part in this event and between the two stalls raised over £300 towards the cost of our coaches to Ipswich home games – money urgently needed as we lose just over £100 every home game.
We had a tombola stall with over 80 prizes on it, which was run by three of our younger members, Kieron, Connor and Jack  (pictured ), all 13 years old (under the eye of an adult). This was their first experience of running a stall, but after a few nervous moments at the beginning, there was no stopping them, and all the prizes and tickets went before closing time.
The second item was a barrow full of Christmas food and drink, run by older members of The Branch, assisted by Father Christmas (who seemed to spend more time with his elves). Again, this was a tremendous effort, helped by generous donations from Branch members to fill the barrow, and then to wheel it around.
The winning ticket (number 71) was kept by a carer living in Sudbury, for someone who lived in Wratting Road, Haverhill.  Thanks go to Sheila Hibbert and her husband |( a rugby lover who is still trying to understand how he got involved), the barrow of Christmas fare was safely delivered.
Our grateful thanks go to all who helped in many ways, which resulted in a good evening for both helpers and The Branch.
