Once again The Haverhill Branch joined up with The Halesworth Branch to travel to Milton Keynes, to watch our away fixture against M.K. Dons. The younger members are having a great time visiting new stadiums. On a cold, wind and damp day, 17 members from Haverhill joined up at Newmarket to catch the coach. Older members told us that the last time Ipswich played at M.K.Dons, there was nothing there but the stadium, but now there many shops and businesses all around the stadium. Prior to the game, a quick visit to McDonalds proved to be very interesting. Due to a very big queue, it could not cope, and our meals came in stages, with breaks in the middle, but in the end we got fed. When we entered the stadium and got to our seats, we were amazed as to how clean and new looking it was. The view was excellent, the seats very comfortable, and the toilets were the cleanest I have ever seen at a football match. The result was the best for Ipswich, with The Town winning 1 – 0, but the weather spoiled it, with very strong winds, which not only spoilt the control of the ball and made it difficult for good play, bit it also turned the stadium very cold. We were  lucky to have a seat with everyone  sitting down, and ended up with a great view. It was interesting on the way home to see the results of the day, with two people sitting together on the same seat, one old, one young, both with heads back, mouths open, and storing. It was a tough game.
